Might I suggest Romans 13 is not the one-size-fits-all justification for submitting to every form of governmental perversions? After all, the dude who wrote it was executed as a traitor to the state.

I’d enjoy some more discussion of this issue. It is extremely concerning to me that a significantly higher number of Christians surveyed support torture at all. The half-life of the “ticking time bomb” argument and the ideas that torture would be effective and necessary in such a scenario is also perplexing.
